My name is Wynnie Alexander, founder of Solstice Rising, a personal development initiative dedicated to helping people navigate life’s turning points with greater confidence, resilience and clarity.

My Professional Journey

My professional journey has spanned welfare, higher education, sociology and psychology, alongside holistic therapy, mental health and personal wellbeing. These different endeavors as well as my own personal experiences have given me valuable insight into the challenges people face and the ways personal circumstances can influence confidence, emotional wellbeing, education and working life.

Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in personal development, human behaviour and the importance of helping people recognise their strengths, particularly when life takes an unexpected direction.

Why I Created Solstice Rising

I established Solstice Rising to address an area that deserves greater understanding: the impact that bereavement, grief, relationship breakdown and family difficulties can have on people while they are trying to maintain their education, employment and everyday responsibilities.

These experiences do not simply disappear when someone enters a workplace or classroom. They can affect concentration, confidence, motivation and a person’s sense of direction.

I believe people should have access to supportive, practical opportunities to understand their experiences, develop coping strategies and begin rebuilding their confidence without feeling that they must navigate every challenge alone.

My Approach

Through Solstice Rising, I aim to create supportive and inclusive learning environments where people can reflect, recognise their existing strengths, explore practical ways forward and develop the confidence to take their next steps.

My approach combines personal development, practical guidance and an understanding of the relationship between personal circumstances and everyday life.

Ultimately, my aim is to help individuals move through difficult transitions with greater self-awareness, renewed confidence and a clearer sense of possibility.
